Old shit that's actually popular is generally just as much unavailable on 4 as it is on 2. The only noticeable differences are things that basically require you to be in japan or import, like the ice cream or music CD LAs. There is a lot of jewing going on on every ship, as in people buying out stuff that's unavailable now to try and resell it later for a much higher price.

Ship4 has a higher population and more people scratch on there for obvious reason, so scratch items are generally cheaper and more available than on ship2
From what I've read here it's apparently easier to sell gear on ship2 but I have no confirmation for that

Higher population also means more people buying. Everything from AC scratches costs pretty much the same on both ships, except for outliers like old stuff where only a handful of items are left. I play on both ships so I know this for a fact.

Here is an example for the noticable difference. left is 2, right is 4. To be fair though, this looks a lot more like people on ship 4 being legally retarded and unercutting for millions, while people on 2 are much smarter and barely undercut.

When you could sell off old 12* units and Saikis hadn't been optimized for a year I was always surprised by both how quickly gear would sell and the price. I almost never had to lower the price of something, though the only major gear piece I've sold recently was a 150/9 a few months ago which went for 130m.

The flip side is that affixing fucking sucks on Ship 2, the fodder market takes so long to replenish. I bought out doom break until it was double the price I started at 2 weeks ago and it's still at that price today.

Ship 4 and t-atk. There are actually two people undercutting me, but both are missing the rear from theirs. I just raised the prices on them as a whole, moreso the rear, since the other 2 guys are both selling only arm/leg with the same affixes, and I don't want to meet the same fate of "2 of 3 piece set rendering it unusable if it doesn't all sell to the same guy".

Too bad, t-atk is what I needed but not on ship 4. You wouldn't believe how many times I've put up a set only for someone to buy just 1-2 pieces and break it up.

If you transferred to 4, there are 2 other people selling arm/leg cheaper anyway (and the other sub 20 rear is 17.8m) and given how long my stuff has been up at that price it isn't probable that they'll sell at this point.

Alternatively, if you DID plan to transfer to 4 for a week or so and wanted a guaranteed price to buy them at of 45m+tax, I'd put them aside for you, but that seems even more unlikely.
