They're pretty fun. My Dad has the 04 Grand Touring 350 and it's fine, reliable enough but he's had a few issues with it he's not been thrilled about.

It was pretty fun on the Dragon, it just feels very planted.

I had one 6 years ago. Loved it. Good entry to fun/sporty cars. It's fast enough to be fun, low to the ground, decent handling, and is rwd.

The auto tranny was pretty sluggish on my 04 convertible. Not very good on mileage for a small car with a 3.5 v6. I got 16mpg, and beat that with the v8 mustang and corvette afterwards which(obviously) also killed it in performance.

The only issues i had were failing amp in the bose sub and passenger window sticking. I fixed both issues myself.

This, you had to get into the 370Z before you could expect reliable 13s stock.

Guys who had some drag experience on a prepped track with good DA could get well into the 13s with at 350Z, but that probably excludes just about everyone in this thread.

I think they are generally cool if they aren't riced the fuck out.

I do find it funny everyone used to love the engine and exhaust note back in the 00s, but now every review says they sound like shit and the engine is rough.

I think the rough engine criticism is mainly with 370Z. Reviewers say it's course and unrefined at high RPM's.

If you love burning oil and replacing electronic parts constantly. Go for it.

Turbos are out of the question and low power superchargers are seemingly the only option.

There is no reason to buy a 350/370z when you can get a second or third gen IS for 10-20k or 25-35k

I bought my 2007 IS350 for $15k with just under 72k miles. Nice car, but coming from years of driving manual, I do wish it was more involving to drive. Actually just ordered some F-Sport sway bars to help with body roll :-)

The 350z is usually driven by 20-something Mexicans here in CO. They are pretty decent cars and can be fun and sporty if you keep your expectations low. Not cheap to mod for speed.

Not really, it attempts to do everything well and accomplishes none of it. The 370z is a DIRECT upgrade over it and actually pulls off the jack of all trades thing.

I owned one and it was a shit DD but great sports car, the 350 is even more shit of a DD so there you go.
