I've seen automatics with custom shifters. Best one was a fosters tap knob.

I make my own

Never took a decent picture.

Short throw shift lever, weighted knob, billet lock out collar, trans mounted support bracket.

Makes the m82 actually feel good.

Most aftermarket shifters look kinda tacky, at least to me.

I'm using an OEM accessory option - MSRP was a ridiculous $180 or some junk, but I got it like new for $60.

mgw shifter
going to rewrap the leather or buy a weighted one

I had a wood one in my E30 kinda like pic related.
I miss that car every single day.

Where can I get this type of shifter please?

Razo 400g
it's ok
i'd love to get ausie redback spider one though

I want a lathewerks shifter but spending that much on something that doesn't really make a huge difference isn't really worth it at the moment

i have this one on my miata

>spiderman shift knob
>autotragic gayiata
about what I'd expect from a nu-male

>tfw you want to buy one of those homo flower knobs
I must be a closet faggot

All aftermarket gear knobs look shit. Literally need for speed tier

That is the exact one I have in my E46. Matches the trim. I fucking love that car, I don't think I will ever sell it

I love those but I'd niver get one unless i had a muscle car or hot rod

OMP gear boxes are the best. Ive got one on my vauxhaul astra and it works beautifully in sync with the turbo i put in it.

Thinking of replacing it.

any ideas for shifter options?

Short throw shifter and aftermarket knob. I'm the guy that posted a thread a couple days ago asking about vertical play in the shifter. I finally got under the thing and found that the bolts holding the linkage bushing in place had come out and the linkage was sitting directly on my exhaust. 2 dollars in bolts and washers and poof fixed

that red stitching is disgusting

I bought a car that had one of those aftermarket shitty shift knobs on it, and it was loose as fuck, also had a shitty boot on it.

I went to a junk yard and screwed on a generic knob from the same make, but different model.

Then just used a generic boot to replace his shitty velcro one.

>Then just used a generic boot to replace his shitty velcro one.
velcro wtf

I thought so too when I first bought the car but it's grown on me

The original is ergonomically designed, so why would I?

The only reason would be if I could get one with a flippable cap and a red button inside to wire up to something. Like the horn, maybe.

hell yea i do

Does anyone have a ford ranger that they have changed the shit knob on

>ideas for shifter options?

I plan on threading a gemstone into a 500 gram weighted shifter.

Gay, yes. But I like gemstones.

I never thought anybody would remember this movie

I'm a street breed, son.

Got the same voodoo shifter knob as a gift.

Holy fucking shit that would be incredible. And it wouldn't be hard at all to wire all the buttons and controls into the car to control things like the stereo or cruise control. Hell even things like blinkers or hazard lights could be wired to it! Well now I'm not going to be able to sleep till I research how to get one

No, see, it's not the fact that red stitching itself is atrocious... it's just that the red stitching on your car is horrifying. You should just drop the $15 on amazon to get one in real leather.

Holy fuck, I had this movie on VHS. Haven't seen it in years, but I used to watch it all the time

I got this one off yahoo jp, nice to shift with but it's since threaded itself and now it sits with the shifter pattern facing the wrong way.

Holy FUCK this is clever. Why is this literally the first time ever I've seen this or even thought about this? I want this really fucking bad now...

YES BOIIIII

it's a meme, since it's the automatic pattern on a manual
but just think how fucking confusion it would be if someone tried to steal my car lmfao

>He drives a V8 Muscle Car
>He doesn't have an Eight Ball shift knob

>tfw old bmw
>tfw pull shift knob off on shifts every once and a while

Why couldn't they just use a fucking thread? Anyways I've got an adapter. for it but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

That is leather though?

my knob

...

yes
>240sx
>isis short shifter, brass bushing
>7 star dragon ball

>mfw same 25 year old shifter boot

>/BLOX/MASTERRACE

Just have a 95-96 cobra knob/lever in my car. No short throw YET.

>mfw cars 1990
>mfw its 2017

I really want a knob (hue hue) like that reverse the colors and flip reverse
anybody know where to find that?

can I get this in Terra the Amazon Wyvern?

>triggered /pol/tard shitposting
That's not even a miata interior

I'm thinking of getting pic related and filling in the shift pattern with red paint because the car is white with red interior, but haven't yet
I like the look of the shift pattern on knobs but theres so few for 3 speeds :(

He's posting an example of the knob, that's not his car
kYs

Here's my shift knob and interior guys. It's completely custom let me know what you think

...

>car domain circa 2002

Bit tacky.

Holy shit thats a good idea

in the process of making one with a plain black billiard ball

TWM Big R replica turned by my dad in 314, finished in satin. 740g.

You can always just cut the thread yourself.

>spidermancar.jpg
>clearly captain america, red, white (cluster and wheel panel), and blue scheme, not to mention the figure in the middle

Not to sound like a retard.. but how do you remove the current knob? I've wanted to replace mine, but I cant get the current one off.
I tried unscrewing it to no avail.
Its an 08 Dodge RAM

I need a good one to replace my original 1990 miata knob. Suggestions? Cannot be some dumb ass metal voodoo knob.

no but i want one, stock is peeling

That's tight. Seems like it would be economical too.

Woah, thats a depressing interior

It's a modern American ecobox.

I actually like it though. And it looks good at night

Neat stock shift knob set up. The retaining nut is within the shift knob itself so install is easy, no visible nut on the bottom and the shift pattern is slapped on with a sticker.

Retarded as shit to remove though. Gotta mangle up that sticker/placard

Ah thank you very much!
That is pretty dumb though

I got a custom lathewerks wooden shift knob.

Brass insert threads onto beautiful cocobolo wood. Expensive as tits though, 90 USD shipped to the 48 continental. Being Canadian I ended up shipping it to a buddy's stateside and brought it back. 18 USD shipping to Canada is STEEP.
