indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/6002535356.html

Not sure if this would be a good investment or not. Is it hard to get parts for these?

portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/6019278987.html

which one of you is this?

chattanooga.craigslist.org/cto/6006290985.html

this is one of the cars a ls1 makes fabulous the aluminum 4 cylinder in it is pig fat beyond imagination the v8 is the same weight

Never change, Veeky Forums.

That looks like a scam

What the FUCK $5000 for all of that? Scoop that shit up OP.

Seattle gets abused NA 300zxes for just under that price.

losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/6018695416.html

I am looking for a rwd, manual car to takumi in for under $5,000. Is this a good choice?

I cant tell is this is an unsalvageable mess or a great project

newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/5988057881.html

>ran when I parked it
I thought this was just an Veeky Forums meme

Don't see any major rust on the body, so maybe. It'd cost a lot to repair though.

>thinking you can DD a 944.

go look at some old cars in your CL. they all say it m8.

It's an engine swap that the owner, who supposedly dumped a bunch of money into it, gave up. Why? Because he didn't know what he was doing. Do you want to try to take on a project that the person who tried it couldn't even figure it out? You would have to either spend 10s of hours deciphering and correcting all the wrong stuff or just toss it and start from scratch. There is no worse project to buy than someone elses half done swap.

anyone got an extra gun laying around they wanna trade for a 924?

seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5995357104.html

neworleans.craigslist.org/cto/5944246439.html
Neat

It absolutely baffles me that people can allow cars of that caliber to fall into such ruin.

It's going to be interesting in ~20 years to see what luxury cars from today or a few years ago fall into the same level of neglect.

So sad.

I feel really sorry for this little guy. Should I go save him, Veeky Forums?

indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/6020310038.html

Wtf...No...

Nearly all of them will suffer the same fate, the costs of repairs/restoration are many times the value of the vehicle, so it doesn't make any sense to keep them in good condition unless it's a particularly great car (which 924s certainly aren't).

holy shit if i had the funds id buy this

>tfw in the market for an NB miata in Seattle but those Porsches are tempting me very slightly

Maintenance would murder me by surprise wouldn't it?
The Boxster seems like too good of a deal. I'm sure there's more issues with it though. The 924 isn't too far from me either but I've never cared much for the older Porsches.

thanks, I figured as much. I hadn't previously entertained buying someone else's project car, so I figured I'd ask.

Should I buy...
sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/6019775013.html

or...
sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/6014168385.html

The LT4 Corvette has 330hp and better handling. The LS1 Camaro has 325hp and is cheaper.

fiero with a bodykit

kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/6001087523.html

Id figure out why the salvage title on that corvette first, but Id be inclined to choose the C4 grand sport.

just kill me now

denver.craigslist.org/cto/6020535562.html

Yeah I'd ask questions on that and run a VIN check but I'm not too worried about it since it still has a clean CA title and the car looks to be in great condition.

>covers license plate with fingers
nice!

how much do you think it would cost to get all this shit fixed?

charleston.craigslist.org/cto/6020725633.html

I believe even if you do the job your self on fixing on these things that buying parts alone on this car would not be cheap.

eeuroparts.com/Parts/79989/Axle-Assembly-Rear-Rebuilt-33211226901/

>all belts cracked
whoever owned this before did piss all to maintain it. i'd steer clear user, especially for an "e" e30. you can find a way better one with way less miles. unless this thing is like $800

go for the saab if youre a car enthusiast. which i assume you are since youre on Veeky Forums

>e30, 318, nearly 300k miles. FIVE grand
yeah, no.

>No Twingo frontswap

if i were to buy a camry, it would have to be the 2gr v6, and those are only 2007 and up. i wouldn't pay asking price, but ~6k is about average for those parameters. i'm more leaning towards the 9-5 because it's a 5 speed.

chicago.craigslist.org/sox/cto/6015704011.html

This seems like a bretty gud deal, someone explain to me how I'd be getting scammed.

>high mileage
>well taken care of
>plenty of information in ad
>reasonable price

You aren't getting scammed. I wish at least a quarter of craigslist ads were like that. buy it faggot.

guy isn't scamming but the price is a tad steep for those high miles and the check engine light being on. research those codes and see what the problem is and how much it would be to fix.

Posted this in the volvo thread

thoughts?

do it faggot, if it runs for $200 it's worth it

Looking for a car in Norfolk for around 1k can go to a max of 1200.
I don't know if i'm not looking well enough but everything seems to need to be fixed and i don't know whats an easy fix or whats not.
Was looking at this one

How come cars in America seem to get run into such high milage? In the UK most cars with 140k on the clock are worthless/scrap

Is it a bait question or are you just that stoopid?
Merica is big

Any car that runs for $200 is a good deal user, with a brick chances are the engine is still solid even if everything else is shit

>750 now, could get it lower

>The catch: it's been sitting outside for 7+ years

Going to test a new battery on it this week. All digital dash, console, power seats, windows, etc. May take the plunge if I don't find any electrical issues.

I'm mostly concerned about the typical dormant car issues I may find after I buy. Would I regret taking this car in as a first-timer's project?

for ~500 dollars you can't really go wrong unless you're expecting a perfect car.
Just don't complain when your first string of repairs costs you more than you paid eh?

found this recently, ads unfortunately down. He only wanted $6k and it had 100k mi and minimal aftermarket. No mention of why the cat hood

It needs the intake put back on.
>It's a 90s model Audi Quattro

I need a CL etiquette lesson:
I'm selling my old car that doesn't run anymore
One guy texts me this morning, and set up a time to come look at it today.
Just now another guy texted me, wants to come look at it immediately.
I don't want to screw the other guy I set an appointment with. Would it be bad to have them both come at the same time?

Tell the immediate guy he is more than welcome to come see it but you have another guy coming later and you need to give him a chance to look as you already agreed to it.

If the immediate guy looks at it and wants to buy it right then and there, tell him you need to give the other guy a chance to make an offer as well and you can let him know by end of day.

For the later guy, when he gets there let him know someone else has looked at the vehicle and made and offer but you wanted to give him a chance to look at it as well. If he isn't willing to make an offer right then and there then accept the first guys offer. If he is willing to make an offer right there and it's what you want or more than the other guy accept it.

If the first guy doesn't make an offer then carry on like normal, who ever makes an offer you want to accept first gets it.

If the later guy doesn't show up or wants to post pone it to another day tell him you've already been given an offer and if he can't come today then you will accept it.

I would not have them both come at the same time, as you should let either guy have a chance to inspect and drive the car without dealing with someone else.
