Because stancing is detrimental to a car's function. Why on earth would you make your contact patch smaller? Especially on a car like the GT86 which has to rely on handling to make up for its lack of power?

Just stance it similarly. Minimize wheel gap as much as possible without sending yourself to scrape city and adjust camber slightly. -1 in the front wheels and -2 in the rear wheels for maximum racecar aesthetic.

It will look better if you just get wheels with flush fitment. Then lower it an inch or so and add some functional camber. The stock alignment is retarded and has more camber in the rear, but the general consensus is that you need -0.5 to -1.0 degrees more in the front than the rear. Also you'll need adjustable rear lower control arms because when you drop it the rear gains ridiculous amounts of camber naturally, which needs to be corrected.
