You're supposed to deal similar, maybe slightly lower damage than an FM with soulburn assuming you have equal grar.

I want to say around 25-35k dps no buffs on a decent length fight is what your aim should be.

What DPS are you dealing right now? What gear?

Hmm, well the last time I tracked the damage it was a little over 20k on gloom4. After posting it here, it was pointed out that I lost some dps by manually switching to draw stance in order to use conflagration flash. I haven't looked at dps since then, so I'd assume it'd be probably around 21~22k

This is with an S3 lego weapon and non-lego accessories

BM is top dps without SB and top 2, maybe top 3 with SB. You're doing something horribly wrong if you're not topping the meter unless you're severely outgeared by your other party members.

Best I have done as a Des in tomb4 is 32k I'm sure bms can crush that no matter the gear

I went to look at the image I posted, and I was wrong on both the exact number as well as the dungeon. Sorry, my mistake. It was 23k on snek queen, not that that's much better. So maybe I'd be around 25k once I fixed my previously mentioned mistake?
