I'm black and atheist, so I understandable have disagreements with a lot of aspects that started America. No country has ever been born out of being nice though. I think that's an odd statement to make in general.

You may be going a little too far. Bad localizations definitely don't help the perception, but there are still tons of bad writing in JRPGs from the beginning.
