Regarding early access, I assume development stops the moment I buy the game.
What it means is that I will not purchase a game, unless I find that the current product is worth the current price.
If my assumption turns out to be true, then I will still have gotten what I consider to be my money's worth.

Considering that most titles will maintain their price and offer no reward for buying in early, I see no reason to purchase before aforementioned point.

A lot of the reason I'll play a game is for the community. I don't play a lot of video games these days, so it'd be nice to know I wouldn't be investing my time in a game that's going to be abandoned at some relatively near point in the future. For some reason, a game just seems a lot less fun when I know that other people aren't playing it alongside me.

AM3+ 9370 is what I got. Can't imagine an intel 4 core would be much of an upgrade for anything but gaming.

There is a slight difference in performance per core and maybe a little more in the overal, but still not worth it, wait for the price scramble when zen comes out, and then decide.

I was considering picking up a Zen hex core to get the compromise between single and multi core performance, but I'm not too interested in dealing with poo in loo's retarded nonsense much longer.

Unless you play spengos, or any other unoptimized piece of shit, with that FX and a 980 you have computer for now, maybe in the last days of the current 10xx gen if you stay on 1080p and 60fps.

I'm actually going with 120fps, and most of the time I get there. Some setting tweaking is usually necessary, but very few times out of ten I'm lower than 60 on highest. Fun fact; its possible to interpolate video with svp and it looks fucking baller. Especially old animated films.

I started out using a pentium 4 with a 5500 then moved to the end-game 3.2ghz model with a 7300GT. I had an intermediate machine with a Phenom II X2 for a while and put a 650Ti in it but I quickly parted together a 6350 machine by salvaging half the build. I'm done with crap hardware, so now I'm going to build an all-new machine with a 6700K and a 1070. I already have the 1070 and it's wedged into that cheap mid-tower really tightly. The 6350 and 1070 are seeing 1080p 50-80FPS in everything but the 6700K should kick that clear of 120.

I only buy nvidia and I only buy EVGA ever since that 650, because they make the fastest marks of any Nvidia card. That 650Ti was made of goddamn steel and reinforced concrete too, durable as shit. I intend to spend about $1,200 on the total build and I'll be parting it together bit by bit.
