I'm actually enjoying Inigo, I think the author put a lot of effort into it. Shame we don't get the same quality from other companion mods.

Good news, the Daedric Sword is actually kind of mediocre as a sword because serrations on a sword are fucking dumb and only serve to make your blade catch on literally everything.

I thought the idea was that Daedric swords were so sharp and sturdy that they can get away with stupid designs. So serrating the weapon would just leave a big gory mess when you stab someone with it.

They're clearly designed for slashing. And when you slash someone with that, things like bone or metal will get caught in those serrations. When that happens, because of the motion of the cut, the inside edges of the serration will have to act more like tiny axes, and chop into whatever material they hit. It just doesn't make sense. reeeeeeee

These are also really dumb in design. The fact that there's no point in the center means they'll only penetrate the depth of the head. Flesh will bunch up in between the prongs, and stop the arrow from penetrating further.

Sure that might be kind of gory still, but it's probably not enough to be more effective than something like a steel or ebony arrow (which would penetrate much deeper) in a world where restoration magic is a thing. Your goal with an arrow shouldn't just be to make them bleed a lot, but to get deep penetration, and hit as many organs as you can.

Honestly it's one of those things where because there's such a top quality mod, everyone else just doesn't really try.
Followers aren't like quest mods, either you have a lot of varied, well voiced dialogue or you don't. And even if you do have some, it has to be at least if not more than inigo, or else people rip on the mod for that reason. And if they did, it would probably just be constantly compared to inigo, trying to copy that mod. So for most people, it's just not worth it.
As much as tesg complains nexus is a hugblox, it really isn't. So once the best for a mod comes out, that usually it.

No, he has his own "brain", which does pretty much everything you would need eff for, and he does some other unique things. You use eff alongside inigo, not with.

Yeah I can see it being hard to top Inigo, but I think the author made a good example for other modders to follow. I think more of the effort should be put into giving the companion a personality, and the best ways to do that is through idle chatter, dialogue interaction and a few personal quests. It doesn't have to be on the level of Inigo, even if it's only a fraction it serves to make the player more invested in the follower.

Last time I remember, no. He won't go with you if you've got companions already, and you can't incorporate his behavior into EFF or other follower mods.
