It's a 220,000 mile car, so it needs basically everything. Nothing's critical, but every wear item is worn out. I replaced the water pump and timing belt and swapped in a 5 speed I had lying around (it was an autotragic when I bought it), but apart from that and an aftermarket car alarm that's been 80% removed (and hasn't caused any problems), it's a bone stock 94.

Take it nice and easy, no pressure. Treat it as a chill drive, go whatever speed you are comfy with and pull over for anyone that wants to pass you. Take frequent breaks, enjoy the landscape and so on.

Eventually once you get the hang of your vehicle and confidence go progressively faster while maintaining safety.

Learn road safe apexing to minimize effort and maintain speed on turns while knowing where to go slow, wide or narrow to avoid hazards/oncoming traffic.

Getting the hang of your vehicle and driving safely on narrow windy roads takes some time - you won't get it overnight.

Or you can drive slow as fuck all the time like me.

just moved to silicon valley for work, but left all my toys in so cal. Thinking about buying a shibox to abuse while i'm out here. Kinda hesitant since i won't have any tools or a garage, but if there are some fun drives it might be worth it.

Up Mt Hamilton, down to Mines road via the Junction. Very fucking narrow up Hamilton, lots of tourists. The 130 down is god tier. Mines road can be sketchy as it has about 10 miles of single lane. Very few people most of the way, quite a few cyclists and motorbikes out on weekends.

A staple of ours, drive from Saratoga up SR 9, then take the right onto Skyline SR 35, then down 84 to the beach.
Lots of people off themselves on these roads by being retarded so lots of LE presence. Also expect rockfalls and animals on the road. Skyline has felt a lot rougher due to lack of maintenance over the past year or so.

pick a single windy road and drive it back and forth multiple times in a night, at least once a week. you don't have to go fast, just get comfortable with your car and the road
