Japan is lightyears ahead of our civilization.
>not wanting to race trough tokyo at midnight in your MR rwd honda kei car
>lightyears ahead of our civilization
>still producing JDM-only cars for their country and not embracing economies of scale
because unlike fat americunts, japan doesn't need large vehicles.
>cheap to buy
>cheap to run
>cheap to insure
>actually fit Japan's tiny ass roads from hundreds of years ago
>larger-displacement engines get taxed harder
>cars that exceed certain external dimensions get taxed harder
>high population density and little usable land means space is at a premium for absolutely everything, from housing to parking
Because putting a turbo 13B in an Autozam is the pinnacle of automotive engineering.
>larger-displacement engines get taxed harder
>cars that exceed certain external dimensions get taxed harder
Except that's wrong you fucking retard
I own an S-Cargo does that count?
Okay, I was misinformed, my bad. clam the fuck down.
>tiny people
>tiny cars
1. tax benefits
2. better in urban area
3. Japanese are smaller than the average white
4. cheaper car
5. less maintainance cost
6. less fuel cost
7. less inshureance cost
I´m german (163cm) and my car is only slightly bigger than a kei car.
>1L naturaly aspirated engine, 50kW
>850kg
>length 3415 mm
>wide 1615 mm
>height 1465 mm
>wheelbase 2340 mm
Kei car:
>660cm3 47kW
>can´t find any weight limits
>length 3400 mm
>wide 1480mm
>height 2000 mm
>wheelbase limited by car length
what car?
I forgat to add that tuning is cheap and verry effective, sice your power to weight ratio goes crazy as soon as you put a slightly bigger engine in it.
The 1350cm3 engine of a Hayabusa is pretty popular for stuff like that, add a turbo and you can hunt pretty much anything.
Also cornering is insane and any speed feels fast.
2009 Peugeot 107 (also sold as Toyota Aygo)
Girl?
No, I am male.
In certain places, you can't buy a car over a certain set of dimensions and engine power UNLESS you prove you have off-street parking to keep it in.
If you cannot, then you can only own a keicar.
That is the only reason they exist.
United States - 90 people per square mile
Japan - 874 people per square mile
An S-Cargo is not a kei car.
sperg alert kek
I'm not gonna calm down, you bitch ass nigger, stop spreading false info here, cock faggot.
you have to own a parking space before you can own a car.
japan has the world's best mass transit systems. so you rarely need to drive.
>IT AIN'T CALLED THE BILL OF NEEDS
you sound underage.
You can keep cursing but it doesnt make you look cool/edgy
...
>best cars in the planet
>choose to be a busriding neet faggot
fucking hell, no wonder japan is so cucked
>everyone in japan lives in tokyo.
its like saying everyone who lives in America is in NYC
god youre stupid
I want one of those comfy kei vans.
Might import one of those little fuckers since I live in DC.
Except he is not wrong, thats still much cheaper than regular car tax.
>larger-displacement engines get taxed harder
Wasn't this the reason why Mazda focused so much on rotary engines?
you mean they cant have big vehicles
but rotaries are gasoline sinks
>163cm
>Male
LOL keep telling yourself that.
it isn't just displacement that determines which plate your car is.
all the RX-7s I saw in Japan were 300 plates. small engines that are not Kei, are 500. 300 is for larger passenger cars which are not trucks.
even the honda civic hybrid was a 300 plate.
Tiny parking space
Insanely expensive gasoline due to both transportation cost and high gasoline tax
This.
Just because you have a penis doesn't mean you're male.
They can, it's just stupidly expensive and impractical to do so
Some rich westaboos drive American land barges and shit there
>This guy is only 5 foot 3 or so
Damn there are girls taller than that
And there are girls taller than 6'2", what's your point?
I swear height fags are mentally 10
a yearly tax on cars?
Do we pay that here in North America too? For the record I get my dad to change my oil, certify, or whatever because i am spoiled (and my car is in his name so it doesn't fuck with student loans).
Das ein hablen leenerhoosen vartenshtoober glasnost gate chamber mein neger vamoshprimer comperstroodle.
I'm Japanese and this is the answer.
>embracing economies of scale
you mean """safety""" standards
t. american't
...
It may sound strange for Americans, but in some places even 'compact' cars are huge. You all laugh when I say I find difficult to find parking for my Ford Focus Sedan here in Madrid because here in our cramped ass streets is almost a land barge.
...
I wonder if gayropean car manufacturers dropped on their knees and begged Nippons to not come to their market with their kei cars.
AWD?
Can't you see rear solid axle?
...
Yes, Japan raised Kei car tax but!
Theyre not removing the tax difference entirely. (or have not yet) its still cheaper to own and insure a kei car.
Yes they want to increase the cost of kei cars but its not going to be immediate and not instant either, when a hatchback costs the same as a kei car, it will die naturally.
> Focus saloon
Yeah, that's your fault for buying the inferior non-hatchback version.
The arbitrary displacement limit of the Kei car (660cc) also allowed the Japanese government to isolate a large segment of the domestic market from the auto industry of developed foreign nations.
makes them look taller
Well, I do have a penis...
What else defines my sex?
boipucci
I´m not gay.
>Do we pay that here in North America too?
yeah, its called registration and smog fees.
man, would i really have to wait 25 years to import this thing to the states?
>this little thing has AWD
>it will most likely be sold where I live
