For skin mods use Tantoo and don't, I repeat, DON'T use the type2 skin texture(HQ or whatever).

That second issue is easily solvable once you figure out AAU. It is an advanced tool though and it assumes you already know how the game engine treats its assets.

Nah, I spent some of my youth making emblems for HW2 multiplayer and played complex mod for a good year. I clocked out when remastery put the final nail into the coffin. Atleast I can play HW1 classic in 1920x1080 resolution now.
