get a dragon weapon, attack the wings/arms. As a gunner you need to use fire element the break open the chest/back weakpoints before shot damage works

I had to grind a billion Brachys in 3U so he's not complete B's but Azure Rath just pisses me off. Fireball into air, into tail flip into fire breath, wind pressure tail flip, lunge from across the screen, rage mode charge.

I tried using a fire IG (which i'm very out of practice with) and while i hit him a lot and mounted him quite a few times, eventually i got taken out.

So Gunners really have to use specific elements on monsters like this? I thought shot damage worked all the time.e?

gunners need to break it with element first or it absorbs shot damage

people could abuse it by just coming into a room and joining a quest right before it finishes. If the people on the quest can decide whether too allow someone to join after a quest is launched then maybe it could be a viable option

I did it solo with the Boulverizer hammer. Take out Brach first then Azure Rath. The least painful way would be to use IG.

Make it so you can only join in the first 5 mins.

p3rd had no underwater, tri/3u underwater shortcut would be useless, if they kept tri/3u base camp area 1 would be useless since it only exist because of moga woods free hunt

Moga isn't in p3rd, so entering the island from the moga entrance or the base camp that was set up during 3u wouldn't make sense.

It made far more sense in 1st/2nd gen where it not only had no music, but didn't even spot you, which was the cue for music to start.
Now it spots you, but no music. Which is retarded.

I don't not miss underwater combat. I'm playing through 3U again and it really isn't annoying as the meme puts it out to be. The only fight that really sucks is Lagi in the Flooded Forest.

Temporary buff that recharges. If you hit a frenzied or apex monster enough times while a wystone is active, the monster will lose its frenzied/apex status

Different wystones have different buffs, just according to what works best with your weapon

But lets be real older monster should always get improvements in each major installment, especially ones like the dromes who are significantly more outdated than Barroth/Barioth.

i don't know if it wears off like stun on a monster, but i think i remember reading that it dispels frenzy/apex based on motion values. once the necessary mv has been dealt to the monster with a wystone active, the monster is cured of frenzy.

so it doesn't matter what kind of wystone you have, just pick the most convenient ones.

It was the lack of underwater what did that to Lagi, though. Even Ivory was a drowning slug on land, so they had to give it some way to be a threat.
