I'd get a yaris before I got a fit desu. unfortunately the yaris is now made in Malaysia so why not just get the mirage new since it is also made in 3rd world.

Well, you're safely in your budget and you should do okay.

Really, the only thing that will stick you in the beans hard is the depreciation. Make sure you stick to a 4 year loan MAXIMUM and you should do okay.

Any more than that and you'll have lost so much money that it will be laughable.

I'd say you should buy a little single cab Tacoma pre-owned if you can find one. It will hold it's value better if you don't drive it 40k miles a year. You might actually make most of your money back on the sale and only lose a few grand.
