I liked Merrill too besides the dumb blood magic/mirror shit. All the women aside from Aveline are top tier retards in DA2 though. Isabella is way worse than any woman ever in a bioware game.

I actually really appreciate how Merrill treats blood magic and dealing with demons/spirits. it's really refreshing that she actually pays attention to the personal costs, unlike literally every other blood mage in the series, but still has it serve as a personal flaw because she can't recognize that people around her might also get caught up or try to take the toll for her.

For Andromeda? 1 being completely apathetic to the game and 10 being the single most hyped game of the year, I would say around a five. Very cautiously optimistic.
I'm seeing more and more things I like. When it comes to the gameplay, I treat it like Halo 5. While I know that it's deviated from what I considered Halo or Mass Effect (1), I still think it looks fun. Especially when it looks like they've put more emphasis on things like exploration, brought back loot, the hardsuits look really awesome, etc.

BUT, like I've said before, I still want to see more of the game. Like another user said, they should make a gameplay video where they give you a slice of the game itself.
Start on an uncharted world for a side mission that includes driving the Nomad, take a quick walk around the Tempest when complete, then do a main mission. Pick up some loot, craft a little something, show off some skills and skillmenu.
