You will eventually need to kill stuff to survive, you can't rely on CC exclusively. So bring at least one meta gun.

You probably won't get bitched at unless you're actively holding your team back with your weapon / frame choice. Still, I consider it bad form to not be actively contributing to whatever mission you're attempting, but honestly your frame and weapon choice don't have too huge of an impact on that. Sorties are about having the right tools for the job, and if you decide to not bring those tools and entrust that pubs will bring them, don't flip your shit when you're sitting in a defense mission and your squad is getting stomped because nobody brought a frost/limbo/strong cc frame

If you're trying to mass clear, you do it with something like Equinox, not a gun. I'd rather have an AFK literal retard with CP than someone without CP in a grineer def.

even if your weapon can handle level 100 enemies, your weapons will perform far more efficiently against heavy eximus units and the like if they have no armor. That's not a valid reason to not be using the right aura for the faction you're facing.

it still primes them so you can fuck them over the same way as with slowva, but it doesn't take forever like it would with slowva

it's good for farming and for wrapping things up fast

i personally like slowva more in general, but speednova is just more efficient sometimes

I only use slowova, though my nova is pretty much a benchwarmer I guess I'll have to learn her eventually

And that's a shitty point, because just about every DPS build has its effectiveness determined by CP.
4xCP is a humongous damage multiplier regardless of what build or weapon you're using.

You're probably just bouncing off the thing. You could also try that one map on I think Neptune, higher level so you might get more enemies spawning.

Some gas vents are 'weak' and don't give you much airtime, others will do the job. Maybe you're jumping too hard down on it, making you plummet too fast for the vents to keep you up. Try gently applying pressure to its sweet spot.
