It is, but we're talking about ET builds. In which case you look at the whole team composition and not just one build. If you're going to be the carry DPS as a pyro, then it doesn't matter that you don't have linker 2 as the chronomancer will have linker 2 or 3.

pure for solmiki, assuming you have another real aoe like SR, Doppel, and etc, it does not matter much. linker 1 is enough to collaborate, the damage is fucking great and to melt bosses 6 links is more than enough

If all you want is a cheap alt to farm both DPK and efficiently solo 240 daily you can try Hop3>Cor3/Cor2Shinobi or Murm. I don't know how the former is going to perform at r8 because I'm still halfway into r7 but I'm sure it'll do fine for its role. Can't help with the latter or the build you posted though. t.
