Hey Veeky Forums fags, why aren't you focusing all your time and energy into learning networking, programming and administration? The gain train still hasn't left the station and you're all trying to make money off meme stocks and bullshit startups still. It's not hard, you can literally shill everything from the internet. Here are some resources below:
If you're autistic, learn some business and people skills too
Brayden Edwards
Not everyone wants to participate in the life-suck, office job, time waste, known as computers.
Nicholas Price
just some bullshit.
if there is an ((expert)) trying to tell you how to make money in some way or another, it means that money train left the station a long time ago.
people that build trends make money, not people who ride trends. you really want to make money? take a gamble or a risk and invest in getting educated or have a business . there is no "safe money" the only way to make it is by having the balls the take a risk

doing shit > learning about doing shit
here's my 10 cents. my 2 cents is free.

Wow you seriously are retarded
Zachary Hernandez
Already making bank in the industry. Thanks though.
Jonathan Rivera
I've already been doing this for a long while, it's an ok starter career. But keep in mind that you'll be unemployable shortly before your 40th birthday.
So make sure you live in crushing poverty throughout your 20s and 30s since your earnings will have to last you for the rest of your life.
I'd suggest getting a van to live in or find a bridge to live under near your work. Also get a gym membership so you can have a shower from time to time. For more information and ideas on how to survive on less, read some online resources for the homeless.
Good luck

>mfw majoring in CS at a top 5 undergrad program Way ahead of you, friend.
William Russell
Are you suggesting to learn SQL, sales force and networking basics ? Or just pick one ?
I'm an accounting grad with insurance underwriting experience moving to Toronto and would like to switch to IT. So, tell what do you suggest is the best way to get a desk job
Nicholas Perez
Dumb question here:
What's the difference between accounting, finance and economics?
Xavier Hughes
Those were just examples to help people get an idea as to what they could learn for IT.
If you're an accounting undergrad I suggest learning SQL, advanced excel (business analysis stuff) and learn about ERP systems.
I have a load of accountants working on an ERP project in my office and they're making serious bank

> building usable solutions for business management > Never work more than 40 hours a week in an air conditioned building > No one expects you to go above and beyond because no one wants to be there.
It's what I do now, and it kicks ass. They've got great food and a walkway on campus. All I do is look at finance stuff and crunch numbers, which I like doing anyways. Salary is fucking crazy for what I do. There's no customers, just a loud asian boss who's ridiculous and never mean. There's office politics, sure. And a ton of fat old women who've turned to goop in front of computers.
But real talk, there is at least 20 hot asian interns on my floor.
Yeah, I get it, "do what you love" I know tons of people who are "their own boss" and they do dumb bullshit all day with lots of waste and no tools to handle the kind of business they have. They wind up crumbling under their own weight, unable to pay off their dues. You can bitch and moan about "Maggies Farm" but who's the real sucker? You for trying to run all aspects of a business with no future or me being paid cash to do something I'd be doing at home for free.
That meme magic got you man. By the time my stock options clear my retirement you'll just be knee deep into your fourth bowling alley watching the bills pile up. Fuck your disneyland bullshit.
Xavier Price
>being paid cash to do something I'd be doing at home for free.
you crunch numbers in your free time? also You lost me with the disneyland metaphor
Isaac Martinez
>But keep in mind that you'll be unemployable shortly before your 40th birthday. What in the actual fuck are you talking about?
Charles Turner
Yes, I like math and information and machine learning is a huge interest of mine.
You know, like the people who work at disneyland and get trapped into low wages and ridiculous contracts because people con them into pretending to be belle all day.
William Diaz
I've heard of salesforce. What are some things it can do and why would a business want it?
Christopher Ross
He's talking about age discrimination in tech.
Jonathan Jenkins
Salesforce is a cloud network with an API pretty much. APEX is really easy to learn as far as programming languages are and you can also set it up visually through an interface intended for 50 year old balding people who are scared of technology.
Jayden White
Depends on where you are. If you decide to go into a leadership role and have the experience to back it up you can still make plenty of money well into your 60's. You've just gotta have people skills and make a good impression on people. Don't be a total fucking sperg or a jerk to people and figure out a way to tell people to do things without pissing them off.
Cameron Foster
right so you scoff at "do what you love" and yet that's exactly what you're doing
Elijah Cruz
It annoys me that people think I'm just some soulless analyst in some big company. People act like I'm working my life away, but I never work more than 40 hours a week. Even at the office I don't really do anything. I go out to lunch at 12, I take my coffee breaks and even at my desk I work. Because the company has so many employees there's no way they'll ever really need to bust ass because most admin work is done through computer now. Everything is basically automated and you can loaf all day. If I ever get an office I fully plan on playing video games at work.
Connor Rodriguez
Among all the bajillion different choices of IT careers, what would you suggest to start with?
Alexander Bennett
Even I want to know. Thought of learning SAP fico module coz I'm accounting graduate I can arrange fake experience letter too but idk if SAP is still in demand
