Had a V8, now have twin turbo v6. Turbo lag, as small as it is, sux, but the mpg is 25% better. HP and Tq is the same for both, BTW.

All told, I would rather have the V8.

Why are we having this thread again? wasn't the GT revealed to have specs that didn't exactly meet expectations and now at this point we're just waiting for it to lose to that Mclaren in a 3rd party test that's $50,000 cheaper and offers the same experience whilst also giving you a V8.

He's not wrong. I changed my Nova engine from a high compression 350 to a 454 for the torque difference. Generally speaking, horsepower is a good indicator of the top speed of a car whereas torque is a good indicator of a car's acceleration. Which is why torque is important for quarter mile runs and hp is important for the track.

Using this graph @ peak torque the car produces 200HP @ 2500RPM and at around 5500rpm where it only makes 325lbft it produces 340HP
