Is this the car that marked Volvo's surrender of their luxury aspirations to become just a premium brand like Audi?

What is S90/V90?

Fuck off,

This thread already died yesterday and rightfully so.

Not really - the 200 series were not exactly luxury' and they were just a 100 series with a new front

The 700 Series was the 200 series with a facelift, the 900 was a 700 with a facelift

the 300 series was a DAF, the 400 was the 300 with a facelift

The Early Volvo's were nice - but never as plush as a Rolls or a American land yatch.

a premium FWD car
The 760/960/S90 were luxury cars, specially the Royal versions, and even more specially the Royal Level III Hermés
my question wasn't answered

According to your logic I guess an A6 is just a "premium FWD car" too instead of the mid-size luxury car it is.

Not quite.

the 700 series has a chopped back (side-by-side comparison shows that easily).

the 700 also has a bendix regina ignition system as an option

700 also has comfier seats and stuff

im thinking about getting a 2007 s60 AWD with a manual for about $6k, one owner, 110k miles. From what i've researched the 07 models are pretty fucking reliable. Redpill me

the 780 coupe cost 45K in the late 80s and had every electronic feature possible, beach burl wood accents and hand stitched Italian leather seats
