I want to get into Porsches later down the road, do you know where a good place to start would be? And I approve of your e36 M3.

Nice! Did you every consider choosing a 135i over the 128i at all?

I would honestly buy that car if I hadn't of gotten into an accident a few months back. MR2s have a special place in my heart.

i haven't even told you about how the 3rd gear synchronizer is worn and that it will pop out at half throttle, or the fact that the passenger window and cruise control only occasionally work, or that hard braking results in a michael j. fox simulator
Adam Thomas
Hot damn that's beautiful.
Anthony Wilson
Why thank you! Honestly, I started with my first car, the 1983 944. (Which I still have. The odo reads 400k now.) I bought it as a project car and learned to work on it myself. These cars are pretty cheap and easy to get into as long as A.) You buy one that isn't a total piece of shit from the get-go. B.) You can wrench on it yourself. Labor costs for these things are like $200 an hour. If I were you, I'd just start looking around on craigslist for a later gen 944, as they're typically in better condition and slightly easier to work on. They can be had for pretty cheap, just make sure that you get all of the official maintenance papers with it. It saves you a lot of headache down the road.
Xavier Wood
yeah, but i knew i wouldn't be able to keep a 135i stock. modding is for the vette. i just wanted a reliable & fun daily.

I miss the '87 Cressida because it was a $400 first car that unfortunately couldn't pass emissions because dead valve seals caused smoking.

I do a good amount of car work at home so the hard part will be learning how to work on Porsche engines. Unfortunately I won't be able to get a 944 right now, but I hope so in the future. Also one of my dream cars is a 1994 911 Turbo RS, but that may never happen.
Aiden White
Iktf. My truck is the same way. At least it runs. Problems out the wazoo though
Joseph Sullivan
Hey, you never know what might happen.
Also, I feel you when it comes to learning these engines. Before starting work on my car, I had never worked on a non- American car. It was an interesting learning experience.
Luke Rivera
Is it good as a daily driver? I'm really debating about picking up a 128i as my next car over something like a VW GTI or 2011-2014 3 series. I want something I can have fun in without going overboard with mods and such.
Hunter Richardson
Fortunately I have worked on an e36 when I owned it a few years ago, but I'm pretty sure Porsche and BMW engines have very little in common.
Hey, my old M3 was a blast to DD. It looked like shit and the paint was purple and flaking off, but it was relatively cheap and fun as hell to drive. Enough space to DD comfortably as well.

only had it a month now, but so far so good
getting ~25mpg and that's driving like an asshole
no lsd is biggest problem, but the 135i has the same issue
mods are expensive of course... $4k for full intake & manifold, headers & exhaust, & tune to get like 70hp. doesnt make sense to fi it, just start with a 135i at that point.

Might sell the mustang once my insurance lawsuit is over and have about 18k in cash to buy something I actually like. The bike I'm pretty happy with though.
Also open to suggestions of something neat in the 10-15k range. Want speed, reliability and handling, could give a fuck about practicality and gas mileage.

Ok, then I'd want the dot in the triangle to be close to speed and reliability, less handling. For 15k there has to be SOME good used examples of that.

Florida. I like 80s and 90s nipshit and classic American muscle. Not much else tbqh, maybe m3's but I'd never find a good example in the States.

Central? 386? I'm pretty much over mustangs, they're too damn average and the interior gets old real fast. Was looking at older 280z's and I like the idea but have no idea what they're like. If all else fails I'll just get a supra or rx7.
Lucas Thomas
Only car I've ever had, '99 Acura Integra LS
Gonna drop a B18C in it soon, would have switched it to manual and dropped a B18C5 in it but I'm a poorfag.
It was pretty abused by the original owner, paint was messed up, interior was messy as fuck, broken driver side window, leaks oil a little bit, and the rims are trashed to shit.
Already have replaced the switch for the window, repainted the car, cleaned up the interior, still haven't had time to diagnose the oil leak, and I'm planning on restoring the rims or buying just OEM rims if the job gets too tedious.
Connor Diaz
nah Northwest 850 unfortunately, but I'd be down for a drive on the touge Well you could get a Datsun 280Z those are pretty nice and I rather think the styling is top notch, you just have to really check everything if you buy privately because old cars tend to rust and have problems but all in all they are nice vehicles and sexy at that, plus you could probably find one that's top notch for your price range, I'd stay away from all rotary engines least reliable thing around, and you'll never find a supra for 15k unless it's just N/A
Kayden Bailey
I found a rhd R32 GTR the other day for 10k in Orlando, so I wouldn't be surprised if some old lady wanted to sell her mint gen 3 supra and doesn't know what she's got.
Anyways, just looked the specs on the l28 (280z engine) and it only makes 170hp, so that's probably out. Then again I'll never get anything as fast as my bike so it wouldn't hurt to just get eyecandy. Eh, decisions. Could always throw an ls1 in it and call it a day.

I saw that post, I believe it was a GTST which is a step down from GTR status, so that is true it'd be like finding a needle in a haystack and good point user, no car will ever be as fast as a bike in terms of acceleration or speed but they should still be fun non the less, just remember if you throw in an LS1 make sure to upgrade all of the handling aspects too
Ian Sanders
Are corvettes any good in that price range? Since we're on the topic of ls1's, wouldn't mind a midlife-crisis-mobile.

yea actually, I didn't even think of that, there are always plenty of Vettes for sale in the price range and in good condition too it's worth looking into plus they are pretty reliable, don't expect to be taking corners like a champ though
Colton Phillips
what the fuck with 24 cars? do you wreck them that often? If each car only lasted 2 years, that's still nearly 50 years.
next car: probably in 2020ish, maybe a lexus RCF or LCF. I hope Lexus decides not to make ugly cars anymore by then

My dad's had well over 100 cars. I'll have to ask him tomorrow for a list of what all he remembers. Pic was my IX fucking beautiful exterior and interior wise but I didn't have the cash to fix all the mechanical neglect. Depressing really. It was such a beautiful car.
