i want to try and practice against a level 3 bot but it seems to be locked at 0 (brain dead) or 1 (slightly brain dead)

Looks like high level duels will be two spastics twitching trying to feint the other into a mistake

I dont know if i want to get good. In traditional fighters the game tends to look better if you get to a higher level of skill because the mindgames get trickier, the combos get flashier and more consistent and rarely used gameplay mechanics start making the difference between winning and losing.

Which classes are the most beginner-friendly? I never played fighting games of any kind and I hear this requires a similar skillset so I want to take it slow.

The vanguard classes are the best since they rely the most on the basics. Warden or Kensei are what I'd recommend.

Timing with bots is a bit different than in a real match. Try to do it right as the AI makes contact.

I was having a lot of fun going in and mixing shit up as Berserker, but got absolutely rekt by a Nobushi, decided to try her out. Seems absolutely fucked, I can just keep running away while poking at people and they can never really get in unless I back myself into a corner.

the only problem is that ubisofts servers are getting recked by so many people. That tends to happen when you tell the internet that you can play a 60 dollar game for free for the next 4 days.

They can't fix mechanics/the game itself in 5 days. But I don't understand people who bitch about server problems. It's a free beta ffs.
