Persona 3 onwards is shit because it was too successful. It brought in a whole lot of casuals and the direct result of that was the "Dark Souls of Persona" clusterfuck.
P4 and other Megaten are so far removed in just about everything that it'd be inevitable that the fanbases wouldn't be the same even if P4 fans weren't the definition of underage weebs.

I think I know what you're saying. Usually in a crossover there is supposed to be something unique created because of the best of both worlds, but since SMT already allows for pretty wacky things by design, a Suda crossover would just be a weirder SMT game.
I guess they could do some sort of action shit but then it'd be like Raidou. Actually I wouldn't mind another SMT action game except this time directed by Suda.
