total sun light hitting the earth's surface is roughly 1 kilowatt per square meter.

a nissan leaf goes about 4.5 miles per kilowatt hour.

PV solar panel efficient peaks at about 30%. so you get 300 watts per square meter.

there simply isn't enough real estate on a car to have enough panels to drive it. charging it would take days of full sunlight.

those solar racers are super light weight and super aerodynamic to use as little energy as possible.

I will exploit their avoidance parameters to muscle my way through traffic in a 45 year old truck while the autopilot of the car in my way yields like a little cuck bitch even though it has right of way.
