I think this helps with longevity of the engine -- you don't HAVE to use even close to half of the full range of rpms if you don't want to, and less frequent engine racing means more long term stability.

It's at 215,000 miles with original everything and it is still so buttery smooth. I don't even care that it is so goddamn fat.
