couple newshitter questions

how do change directions on the next attack youre going to do? as in the timing. I dont think this was ever really explained in the tutorials, generally I just press a different guard direction right after a hit and before the next one but it doesnt seem to work all the time, especially on conq where you need to do a diff one each time for the inf chain. whats the timing on when youre supposed to press it, as your current swing is going or after it hits or what

during the tutorials and shit I parried nonstop since they forced you to do it and it seemed really really strong. then once I started practicing vs bots I seemed to drop it completely since I was focused on learning the classes and their combos. is parrying something you can do on all classes, even the shield guys? are their certain classes you should be using it a lot against and classes you shouldnt bother trying?
