So things I finally got around to pumping up the tires and air shocks today and like damn, that's made a massive difference in the handling. It changed the whole character of the bike.

How come used cbr600rr's are cheaper than comparable supersports? Are they shite?
Caleb Butler
Theyre more expensive in my area Gsxr is the cheapest here.
Joseph Reed
They sold a fuckload of them. Supply is high, demand is rather low, so price is low.

How is it being well of in Ethiopia? Are there any decent touges?
Aiden Thompson
My options were fairly limited and I have to consider parts availability living here. The other bikes I was considering were the versys650 and outgoing striple.
It's not like I can swing by my local Honda-Yamaha-Suzuki dealer and grab a clean sv650

The scenery is incredible beyond the outskirts of the city but touges are very far away from the capitol. Like hundreds of kms kinda far. And driving at night can be daunting. The Long Way Down showcased a couple good roads here. Ewan said it reminded him of Scotland.
As far as quality of life is concerned, it's quite good if you've got money like anywhere else. Rule of law is good but bureaucracy is maddening.
Adam Brown
>actually using the word "touge" that's a paddlin

>yamaha were too cheap to include a $40 item on that bike
really makes you think, it's not that the lack of preload adjustment is the only problem with the bike, it's that it's emblematic of the rest of it, they don't care about how it actually rides because they know they're selling to idiots who don't know better.
Aiden Kelly

My main lights and high beams don't work on my bike but the parkers do then they sometimes come on after reclining but usually not what do. Bikes an 09 sv650 and I had the same issue on my mc22 but the lights came on always after redlining

I know you're just a random retard shitposting, but it's $40 for a very cheap one, multiplied by millions of times for however many bikes they make.
Most people will never even touch the adjustment knobs on their suspension anyway, and you've probably never rode one, but they handle quite well for the average weight person.
If you really care, fork adjusters and valve kits aren't that expensive.
Elijah Clark
>millions
okay maybe not that many but still. sounds like a small amount until you think about how much it'd actually cost to put on every bike, when most would go untouched anyway
Jaxon Cox

I have, that's why I know they're not all that good, the front end in particular is just atrocious, gives you no feel and just digs in when you turn in.
(again, not as bad as the MT-09 though.)
>Most people will never even touch the adjustment knobs on their suspension anyway
that's all I'm saying, they make these bikes for idiots who don't know better.
Aaron Powell
They ride perfectly well enough for the average rider to cruise around town or go for a quick ride in the backroads, which is exactly what the bike is made for. You're complaining that the bike doesn't have things that are totally unnecessary for its place in the product lineup. If you actually gave a shit about front end feel, you'd be messing with it regardless, and upgrading a cheap front end like that is not hard at all
Charles Parker

The fact that you write so good english, have internet and can buy new bikes means you gotta be upper class. Just checked the GDP and HDI of ethiopia. How much worse would your life be if you had born to a rural family somewhere far from Addis Ababa? Does having so many problem countries nearby make life near the borders dangerous?

you guys listen to music or use earplugs when riding? been riding for about 3 weeks now and want something to drown out the noise, as it gets pretty windy where I live.

Earplugs, unless I'm just puttering through town.

i did listen to music when i rode, but one ear in and one here free for traffic, My hearing is pretty shot now and im 22

I did when I was riding my older quiet bike through town. Now with my loud bike I have them on all the time otherwise it physically hurts.

I might get a date on the weekend with a Girl(Female).
But her parents don`t allow/like motorcycles but she does.
Would it be weird if I let her use my armor jacket and gloves.
I squid all the time but never let anyone ride with me without gear.
Isaac Fisher
Yes user, your passengers life is more important than yours on a bike. And if it's a stupid crash like a little lowside in the dirt then she won't get rashed and you guys can play it off. Don't go full 'tistic and give her a race suit.
One time I had to give a girl a ride to the train station not to far. I made her wear the German because I didn't want to take her lol.
Jeremiah Scott
>tfw a girl I know wants a tight leather suit for when she rides with me

Right thanks, It`s only leather gloves and a Kevlar jacket.
At least I know she likes bikes already. Now I must just wait and see as I am not the one setting up this whole thing.

The 2 girls I ride with wear regular jeans with Dainese leather tops. It's pretty dank. When I get another bike (lol) I'm getting the zippy pants to attach to my jacket so I can stop fucking my legs up everytime I crash. You will be missed my little 450. Hopefully the goon who bought you wheelied and crashed at least 3 times already.
Jonathan Gomez
Earplugs for over 20 minutes of high speed riding, think extended freeway commuting or even slower if your helmet is a bit loud.
Earbuds(music) for lower speed commuting just don't turn them up too much or you may do damage with them without noticing. Up to you but I like to listen to some music.
On the twisties, it depends how I feel but I rarely use earplugs there, although high speed twisties can be as fatiguing as the freeway and the silence can help you focus but it's nice to hear the bike working through the mountains and hearing other vehicles approaching.
Noise fatigue is a pain in the ass if you commute long distance on a bike and try to have a quiet conversation or really concentrate afterwards. Also just about all helmets are loud enough to cause permanent hearing loss over time too, especially being exposed for long periods on commutes but it will slowly deteriorate your hearing. There are some helmets that are apparently very quiet even at freeway speeds but I've not bought one.
I use silicone ear plugs every day and wash them about once a week and they last a long time unless I lose them. At first I was worried about ear infections from reusing plugs but it never happened, they're still cheap (cheaper in long term I found) and go ride for an hour on the freeway without plugs, wait til your hearing is normal then ride back with the plugs and you will surely be convinced to wear them.
Thomas Allen
Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't reformat my SJ4000 destined sd card from fat to ntsc?
Does it not work?

The girl I'm talking about doesn't ride (yet), she's just a pillion. She wants a tight full black suit.
Told her I will get her one when I win the lottery. My dick gets hard just thinking about how hot she'll look in it.
Ryan Taylor
My Schubert is noticeably more silent than my Marushin. It helps a lot on long rides. I'm waiting for the helmet Sena said they're going to make, with active noise cancelling and a build in headset.

I don't know man, I tried the music shit. I even bought a 20S and I guess it's cool on the highway but I feel like I lose situational awareness locally. I like to try and hear everything around me. Everyone else I know just uses headphones but I could never listen to music on the twisties. Maybe I'm half retarded but I believe I need 100 percent concentration so for shifting and weight transfer I listen to the exhaust. That and I'm too lazy to make a good playlist so I keep getting mad and switching songs and give up.
Are these old honda bikes a pain to work on, Guide me DBT.

Isaac Howard
If you feel it's distracting it's probably better for you not to wear them then, I didn't mean you NEED to listen to music or anything, in fact most of the time I'm riding I don't wear them but it can take some tension out of a busy commute and I don't have trouble concentrating or hearing the traffic around me. It helps if you have earphones that let in as much outside sound (not in-canal earphones) and you don't turn the volume up too much (although that can be fun sometimes to cruise around with a good album on) but I've always seen hazards before I've heard them and even then I still hear them whether I'm wearing earphones or earplugs, I've ridden some friends bikes that were insanely loud and I don't think you can beat keeping your eyes alert and up.
David Baker
I had an xl350 around that year and it was awful. Had to remove the engine to change spark plugs and this was back in the day when we used leaded gasoline so I had to do it pretty often.
Bentley Davis
That's not why you should wear a helmet.
Ian Butler
It was cool for short local riding on the supermoto. Offers little to no protection but it's really crazy what you hear with no full helmet on. I wouldn't make it a regular thing but if I was riding with my other sm and dirtbike buddies around town it was adequate. I even fell a few times with it on while willieng and never hurt my head.
I think I have hearing damage from dirtbikes and 1000s running m4s. That and the truck I drive is pretty loud in the cabin on the highway. Maybe that's why I feel like I can't hear anything with music on. Also my Shoei is insanely good at blocking noise. Or again maybe I just can't hear shit.
You are correct considering it's not even legal where I live.
Brandon Reyes
What do you mean senpai
6000 ish miles.
Would that be an issue with unleaded fuel, a better question, is unleaded fuel safe for engines designed to run on leaded gasoline.
