It's not hard to get a better-than-craftable relic, but the best craftable in general is the diablos GS I believe. Seregios is excellent if you struggle with sharpness.

It seriously isn't. You don't need a perfect relic to outclass any craftable, not by a longshot. I'd get about one better-than-craftable relic per 3 (high-value, so rajang mainly) 140s.

Yeah, that's kind of the point. Rogue sedition never ever loses purple because your roll:hit ratio is so high with GS. But GS hits so hard and infrequently that even a sliver or two of purple counts for a LOT.

BFB is just a little more consistent, the dragon element is icing on the cake.

Otherwise I'd say 4U has a fair few craftable options that boil down to preference.

Depends on your weapon. With bow and GS especially he is.

yeah, it's a little odd.

the tonfa questline is pretty long and requires doing a lot of very mixed objectives. the hardest part is chapter 7 where you're put up against something WAY out of your league for early g rank(we're talking him stepping on your toe oneshots you), and you have to kill it twice to boot.

but i'd be a liar if i said it didn't feel good to unlock them through hard work rather than them being handed to me.

i just use the AI hunters, haven't needed help from any real players so far
the way i understand it, real players are only really required for raviente and the very hardest endgame quests.

im only up to the hr3 urgent and havent even been using the ai hunters

you should get your AI partner if you haven't already. they're really strong, can provide you with skills and lifepowders later if you level them up.
you'll need a partner leveled up to level 100ish for the tonfa questline, as well

and if you take one of the cat partners along in addition, you get extra break rolls

so i shoudl stop puting that number to 1 at the quest counter?

the cats are bad just like mainline, but the AI partner (the one you can customize) is almost as good as a real player.
they'll get KO's if you give them an impact weapon, save you from snowman/paralysis, etc. it's amazing how much better they are than mainline partners.

the auto-fill AI hunters aren't as good for damage, but are still pretty smart.
depending on how much help you want, set the number from 2-4, lesser AI will fill in any empty slots.

you should take your partner at least, though.

i gest ill go on fist.moe and look up on how to get my own partner, might as well wait till i hit the hr5 sub cap since thats when ill make my first armor set and finish off all the monster hunts in hr1 to 5.
i still havent upgraded anything or made a new st/wep yet and got told to at hr5

if you're in the starter set and feeling like you're getting hit hard, you can make the gogomoa set and upgrade it a bit.

at HR5 (i think) you will be gifted a set along with some other things, talk to the purple lady at the town entrance to receive any gifted stuff you might have. it's one of the lower options on her menu.
the set is pretty good but it also looks pretty bad

one tip i'll give for the partner process is don't pick HH, they will play songs obsessively and end up corner-horning a lot. you can unlock more weapons for them later so your initial choice isn't final, though.

Capcom are nothing if not stubborn.
