is there an important tl;dr to read/ watch or is the game so watered down that i just hop in on the next best medium pop server and play casually for a few hours a week?
because that's what i'm planning to do, level a tank/dd and play it causally (on an EU server if that's any good)

Warrior is in an okay spot, just the rotation is extremely high APM for Fury. Used to be the best tank by far but now its outdone by Monk/Druid. Lots of closers for pvp iirc but I don't think they're a leading class

Professions are in a wierd spot. Can mine the Legion ores with zero skill but you need to hope that "samples" drop from nodes to rank up how much ore you get from a node.

Tailoring is okayish for making money.

Right now I think the best ones are Herb/Alch

Shadow's strength comes from multitarget damage, especially if they are spread. And surprise, Nighthold is full of those.
