Well just as I thought nothing like the description. I assumed you can combo your hits into hits from different stances like heavy high into heavy mid etc.
They really need to patch some descriptions.
All the Ki Pulse ones are wrong. Only High gives a damage buff. Mid is more block Ki and Low is a free dodge. It adds a little to some combos but it would be nice to have known that before I got into ng+.

I've been reforging forever (with divine fragments) in order to get a change to attack (spirit or magic) modifier, and I've done at least 150+ with nothing of the sort

Alright, just burned through that 10 mill amarita. Got Dex to 20 and did the ninja mission, unlocked one of the ninjutsu mystic arts. Now all I have left is the Complete all missions achievement, which I think there are a couple missions that are NG+ exclusive, right? Been playing around with ninjutsu, and the only way I can see it being viable is one of two ways.
The first is to stock 3 of the revive scrolls, use iga jonin armor and then use a guardian spirit with very low reuse time. Iga jonin armor refills your stock of ninjutsu items when you end living weapon. As long as you're not a complete shitter, you just living weapon to get revival scrolls and use them when you think you'll need them.
The other way is just to stack poison shit, hope the poison applies and then run around like an idiot for minutes as stuff dies. You'll want poison weapon buff, poison shurikens and poison bombs. Iga jonin armor and a guardian spirit you can spam are core.
Bombs are just bad. The smaller ones don't do nearly enough damage, and the biggest one though it does tons of damage takes too long to use.
Shuriken/Kunai aren't worth a dedicated slot and stones do the exact same thing but stack to 99.
Foot spikes are pretty useful and so are power pills but you're not really specialising in these and everyone will probably have them anyway. In PVP the paralyzing stuff might be useful if you can stack it on people since it'll probably result in a kill right then and there. Likewise in PVP the throwing eggs are going to be really good because they prevent you from locking on.
The biggest problems with ninjutsu is you don't have enough points to get everything, nor enough to prepare it and you sure as hell don't have enough item slots to equip everything.

2kat and kusu have the best kicks. 2kat because god of wind hits twice and also does good damage, kusu because you can initiate it without starting a combo. 1kat and spear kicks are noticeably worse, in the base game the difference doesn't matter but when trying to drain a NG+ oni it's really noticeable
