Chapter 5: The victim is predictable from a meta standpoint, but the fact that you go to the trial without knowing who's the victim and who's the culprit is fantastic along with other factors that come into play. The execution is okay but what makes it awesome is Monokuma's face at the end.

When are these idiots going to realize Saihara is the protagonist for two good reasons? The first reason is that his very conflict between exposing the truth and trusting his friends is a major part of NDRV3 and Kaede was a little too extreme on both ends with how she trusted her plan and doubted Amami.

The second reason is that Saihara being a self-insert is perfect for NDRV3, since the truth is somewhere in the bits and pieces of the game and you're supposed to be a detective yourself if you want to figure out what's the whole truth. This is a role not fit for Kaede at all.

The second is just my assumption, but the first is obvious from how everyone else leans too much towards trust, doubt or both.
