Trucks

Muh'Insecurity

Don't act like there isn't a general correlation between full-sized truck owners and shit-tier drivers.

How many posts before
>Corvette vs GTR

?

What if we just like having something that's powerful enough to pull and big enough to not care about what we drive on, but comfy enough to be in all day?

What the hell are you guys pulling, I never see these type of trucks doing anything besides weaving in and out of traffic.

>doesn't have a truck
>Most certainly is a cuck

These are legit awful. I understand why you might have a truck, but I don't understand why you might have that particular truck.

>mfw driving my big ass truck and everyone drives like a normal human being around me. most likely for fear that the massive truck covered and dents and fucked paint will probably drive straight through them

>mfw the moment im driving my brand new subcompact car i get cut off by massive bro trucks 24/7 and everyone drives like a fucking ape.

id almost rather take my damn truck into the city because of this shit

pretty much proves they are small dick faggots because they wont try that shit against anything that can ruin their day

The average full size truck costs $50-60k

Daily reminder that truck hate is 100% jealousy

my full size truck cost 0$ because i pulled it out of a barn

im not all that impressed by cleetus in his 2016 chevy ram soopurduty with nothing in the back and clean paint all over

>if you can't defeat them, join them
Literally beta incarnate.

In the land of the payments this means exactly nothing. I wish Longpost Guy was here so he could tell you stories about how many brotrucks get traded in and hilariously terrible rates because the owner went in over his head.

uwot

i dont drive like a dickhead when i drive my truck. hell i drive more like a cunt in a car because i can weave in and out of traffic easily

Brotruck != stock truck

Stock Truck > Brotruck

just use your truck for workuse for once, faggots

> Literally white niggers rolling around in Donks.

Doesn't bother me except the noise, really. Everyone around here has them straight piped. Town sounds like a goddamn truck stop.

trucks are the god tier daily driver vehicle
>comfiest ride
>max utility
>big engine

> I never see these type of trucks doing anything besides weaving in and out of traffic.

Why don't you fucking get out more instead of being a city dwelling cuck? Try not living in a fucking shithole. Go out to the bush, a 4x4 road or a OHV/Snowmachine trailhead sometime...

I love having a truck. Though the want to have a big fancy nice truck is fading.

Went from the monstrosity on top, used the middle for a few weeks, and now going to the bottom.

People do use them for work.

Is this the place to ask what the best compact truck is? I'm thinking about getting one for drifting because of that sweet heavy front light rear balance.

S10 hands down. Cheap and easy to V8 swap.

These old? It hasn't snowed in weeks man

>but muh dick is small tho

holy shit the compensation in your vehicle choices is real. You should consider penis enlargement surgery as it would be much cheaper.

comparing apples to rednecks

>8 lug truck magazine
>that ford has 10 lugs

>few years ago
>Driving firebird with the roof down.
>Some guy in bro truck blows smoke on me.
>Super pissed.
>Pull up next to him at a stop light and rev my engine.
>Super heavy traffic, hoping this guy will take the bait.
>He screams something incoherently and floors it on green.
>I just sit there.
>He weaves through city traffic going 90mph.
>Missing takes the bumper off this charger and hits the center divider thingy.
>Does a fucking flip in the air and ends up in the parking lot of a best buy.
>My only thoughts as I drove by were;"I really hope that guys dead."

I have a truck because I live in Maine. I have to get to work no matter what. In my job there is no such thing as calling out. I also spend lots of time in the woods camping and shooting. It makes sense for me. I have a 2017 Silverado Z71 Midnight because I make a good living and want a nice truck for long trips. Its that simple. I also have a 2001 Silverado Z71 4x4 for the more intense camping trips and dragging trees and rocks at camp.

My summer daily driver is a BMW M3 Conv. So I am not always in a truck. There are lots to like about new trucks but also lots to dislike.

Picture related. Took it last night during the Blizzard. I had to get to work and this was the right tool for the job. In my 4 mile trip to work there were 11 cars stuck on and off the roads. I drove to work like it was a normal day. I am very thankful to have these trucks.

>I need two vehicles that literally do the exact same thing because reasons

Sometimes I can see the appeal of communism in that you'd probably be living in a giant overcrowded apartment complex and driving a Zhiguli if you're lucky rather than making silly rationalizations for your unsustainable bourgeois like "I need another truck to take on vacation"

The great thing about living in a capitalit system is I can spend my money how I see fit. Not how you think I should. You can spend your income however you wish. I have no need to try and impose my value structure on you.

I already owned the 01 outright for may years. I desided not to trade it in when it hit 215,000 miles as it would be worth almost nothing as a trade. So I kept it. And use it as I need.

The 01.

>as posted from my basement

very nice truck, i also have a 2017 silverado 1500

do your interior door handles feel cheap at all? i have a lower trim package (custom) and they feel rather flimsy, im just curious if a better trim package has better handles

>It's somehow my fault I don't see trucks pull anything around me.
Okay.

die commie die

The only thing socialists get to drive are wheelbarrows in the gulag my friend.
Unless you're in the party, then you just use other means of currency.

The only dream a communist has, is to become free.

Don't act like there isn't a general correlation between Toyota owners and shit-tier drivers

They do feel like you could break them if you pulled too hard.

That's just what I was thinking. Some class envy. Lennon referred to them as useful idiots

And thank you very much.

A better picture

I bet you walk into a Ferrari showroom and say "Pfft Hahaha what cucks buy these I never even see them being driven".

Being in a city and thinking that's representative of everything people do with a truck is flat out retarded.

is that a ext cab? I'm considering getting one eventually, A GMC.

Is that trailer lifted? For what purpose? Not like you could take something that long on any trail that would require that clearance.

>For what purpose?
Showing off really, otherwise you wouldn't tow half a house "camping" anyway.

you do realize this logic can be applied to basically every kind of vehicle right?

>2017
>not driving a cng powered 2004 civic

Dieselfags can suck my penis

>average full sized truck costing 60k
Literally what? Not even in Canada. That's top trim everything in sort of money. Most trucks are in the mid 30s sticker price, which means you can buy a decent one for high 20s low 30s or a fully kitted out half ton for 40k.

60-70k is "F250 Harley Davidson Chrome and Leather with Free Blowjobs for Life" sort of money. A trimmed-up Raptor is under 60k for fuck sakes.

Level of outright lies on this board is astounding..

Yes it is. A lot of the roads that go to the primo trails and camping spots are rutted up mud holes. A normal trailer would get its tanks and piping ripped off.

Of course somebody living in a shit hole like Florida or the UK can't comprehend such a thing because they never leave the city.

I know a few guys in construction that have these home-sized trailers. They take them south every winter when the work dries up for a couple months. Makes sense for some people.. But that height... Combined with the truck, how does he not fall over in corners or in the wind on the highway?

MUH OFFROAD CAMPING SPOTS
MUH RIDING TRAILS
MUH MANLY TOWING A BIG GULP SIZED MICROWAVE AND 80 INCH FLATSCREEN WITH ME TO ENJOY NATURE

>Always speeding
>Always tailgating
>Always parking right on the line

Explain this truckfags.

What is the smallest pickup truck generally available new in the US?

30k gets you a base model 2wd. Trucks are cheap but not 20k cheap and fuck buying a used truck. A decent model is around 50k, 70k for a diesel luxury teeruk.

This is in Canada btw.

That's why I drive a minitruck so I can minimize my projection of insecurity.

We drive big trucks because we tow big things. I thought that would be common sense.

I'm there to fuck mother nature with my ohv's. If I wanted to be close to nature I'd take my mtb and tent. It's called freedom.

>we
Enjoy summer break in your basement.

your imaginary penis?

Nissan frontier or Chevy Colorado

They call it a double cab. It's the smaller of the 2 extended cabs. I wanted the 6.6' bed rathe then the crew cab with the 5.5' bed. Hauling snowmobiles it really makes a difference. I don't often have people in the back. Mostly guns and gear. But I did have three adults back there on a shooting trip and they said they were fine for space.

>murdered out
wow never seen that before, black badges used to be edgy, but now they're so common its edgy to have a gold badge

I can tell you have just done this 2 months ago that they are more then you think. A none work truck 4x4 will start in the high 30's and that will still be basic. To get anything comfortable you will be over 40 and in my case over 50. And that's for a nice LT. If you go for an LTZ without the 6.2L you are in the mid 50's to low 60's. You don't what to know what a Duramax will run you.

Haha maybe. I have always been a sucker for a blacked out truck. Sad really because it's about the worst color you can get to live with.

I live in Ontario, lived in the rural bits until recently. I know mud. But the campsites around here are either well groomed and accessible, or they're on old logging roads (generally build with gravel and sand so not much mud), or they're so deep in the sticks that the roads would never accommodate something so large.

...

I love trucks and I love this fuckin country

www.jewbook.com/jonathan.speak.3/videos/914417421928291/

MSRP on the base base model is 27. Raptor is 50k.

And nobody pays MSRP.

The little things add up, and I get that out the door they might be more if you're either picky or don't wanna wait for your configuration to be on a lot. But the "average truck" is NOT between 60 and 70k, which was my point. That's a far above average truck.

Greg?

True it's not 60 to 70. That is the high end. But the average truck most people buy is 40 to 50. That 27k base is a super stripped 2wd W/T. Unless you are buying for a fleet you won't get that. My dad bought a 2015 silverado with rubber floors. It has 4x4, manual HVAC and XM. It was 36k. And he paid cash. It's a very basic truck. Yes there are good deals on them. I got 11k off mine after beating up the dealer. But there are no cheap new trucks. And used seem to hold there value well. Mine is still worth more then I financed.

But when every truck is bought at pretty good discount, it's hard to say that the sticker price is the true price. Kind of like how nothing is as expensive as Canadian Tire claims it was "before the sale".

They do hold their value way too much though. I blame the Americans for that in the last 10 years.

I got a truck because I was tires of getting stuck in the snow, needed something to tow trailers with sleds, quads, and now my bike when needed, and the bed was nice for throwing shit in. All other options would only perform half of the tasks. Though I don't need it nearly as much so when my lease is done I'm going for the cheapest awd/4wd vehicle I can find.

Oh okay, double cab. I'll be sure to remember that from now on. Yeah i much rather prefer that over the other two cabs configurations just to have space to store extra shit in the back seat.

One last question though, did you install a leveling kit on your truck or no?

That's bullshit and you know it. The cheapest base model trucks are 35k which no one buys as they don't even have 4x4.

That is just the cab names GM uses I am not sure what Ford and Dodge call theirs.

Yes I put a 2.5" leveling kit and removed the lower most air dam. The truck came with the ground clearance of a car.

Picture is before I put the leveling kit on.

No. Sorry no Greg in my Boiler Room

Ontario is shit tho. There's lots of places in AB and BC to enjoy your toys.

Looks like Maine. This is one of the reasons I have trucks. I go places like this. God I have spring fever

Stock they sit low for good MPG. I did not buy a truck for good gas millage lol

>truck owners are insecure
Yet you're the one whining about it.

I think a big part of it comes down to envy. It's the same reason people hate Porsche, BMW, Audi and so on. If I can't have it your an ass if you do.

I never saw things that way. I have always wanted a Ferrari. I don't hate someone who has one. Instead I hope one day to be in a position to own one myself. Will that happen. I don't think so. But its something to work for. Same with big trucks. Not everyone is in a place in their lives where it makes sense. If that is what you want then find a way to make it happen for you.

MID-SIZE TRUCKS ARE MASTER TIER

If you don't need to tow or haul they are great. I would have one if I did not have to pull this around

People need trucks for all dat torque to haul their landwhale kids and fat wife to the waffle house.

3/4 ton or bigger is all that matters.

How do your 60hp shitboxes even move?

You British should really stop calling Americans fat, Australians too. You're all fat as fuck.

Im american and I drive a practical, fast, and fun car that didn't cost me 30k used.

>Me and 3 friends in my buddy's impreza
>See a lifted black silverado flying a CONFEDERATE FLAG
>My friend decides to follow him into a parking lot
>One of my friends wants to mess up his flag
>Gets out and tries to set the flag on fire
>Failure, quickly rips the flag off the pole
>Some hick kid sees this and pulls up in a DUNE BUGGY
>Walks up to car "DO YOU THINK THAT IS FUCKING FUNNY!?!?"
>We pull off, he punches the car with tard strength
>Several hicks saw this and are now recording us and talking on cell phones
>My friend drives like a maniac trying to get out of lot
>In traffic I look behind us, see black Silverado with a barren flag pole charging at us
>300 lb Gorilla with 5 teeth picks up a 5 lb rock and tells us to get out of car
>We take off again, he throws boulder at car
>Gorilla's son leaves him on side of road and follows us in truck
>Chimp gets out of truck to attack us, leaves his truck in neutral
>His truck almost rolls into a poll, he has to run back after it
>My friend stalls twice trying to take off
>Truck finds us on highway
>He proceeds to ram my friend's car while we were travelling 70 mph
>My friend is braking hard but still being pushed FASTER by the truck
>Look back at the truck
>His steel bumper has several thousand dollars of damage
>My friend's plastic bumper is fine
>He pulls up along side
>I tell him it was a joke, and that his car is fucked
>He peels off and exits highway

Good for you. Because you choice a different type of car why then is everyone with a truck Fat and stupid?

That is like saying because my favorite color is blue anyone who likes red is fat and stupid.

Makes no sense.

there you are, nigger I've been looking for you. now that ski season is steadily coming to a halt...

you know you can get a 6.5' bed with the larger cab, right? there aren't many of them sitting on lots but that's what I have and I love it.

Yes I do. Like you said not many around. For me it did not make sense as I don't really need the rear leg room as I don't often have people back there and I would not want the longer wheel base.

Sweet truck by the way

I just said they need their trucks to haul thier fat families around because they sure aren't using them for hauling anything work related around. Most people who get trucks are because "they're big and manly". Then there's farmers.

did you fix your truck? i remember seeing pictures of it being wrecked.

You are generalizing. If you saw me on my way to work today you would saw whats he need that thing for? I was unloaded and not towing anything. If you see me this Friday you will see my truck pulling a 4 up enclosed snowmobile trailer with another sled in the bed. thats around 4000 lbs total of load.

So how can you tell what they use their trucks for. Not saying there are not Monster Trucks that have never been off the paved road. But it's their money they can buy what they want. Why should you care one way or the other.

hello

Not my thing but Nice

I know this isn't any of my buisness, but are you by any chance a Mexican?

how you gon get that truck back over the wall when trump outs you

born n raised in usa baby

what size dicks do S-15 drivers have???

This is the only pic I have of it since new phone (ignore me Nebraska boy with trump cut off and dip in) it's just a half ton but does everything I need.

Fun to drive and the old 5.3s last forever. Installed dual exhaust with a flowmaster and love how it sounds.

I read the whole post with a deep southern accent
