I just got into Master's Trials with it, so take that as you will.
Shield Angel is really useful against roach and aggro blood, dropping it on turn 3 stops a lot of damage and on roach turns it can keep you alive, but feel free to experiment as you want.

I'm thinking of giving it a spin but I'm not sure what are the match-up trade offs exactly, having a better shot at winning versus control Sword and Sun Satan seems like a sweet deal if it doesn't mess much with my early game options.

You're trading consistency of a turn 6/7 roach kill for a guaranteed kill on turn 9 provided you survive that long. Unlike the regular roach deck it goes right through wards.

I'm started less than a month ago and Roach was the first metadeck I crafted since the prebuilt forestcraft deck contains all the staples you need.

Call me a whale for buying it 3x but I didn't have any Ancient elves or tias from my reroll and the ~30 dollars I paid for it is a tiny fraction of what I used to pay to keep up with the MtG standard meta.

I've played using Olivia before but not with Leonidas in the deck.
I think you could take him off and just get +1 Odin +1 Olivia if that's more to your liking, but I rarely found a good time to drop Olivia unless it was right after them using Odin.

Even though Control Sword is rather weak, it's a fun deck and it can win plenty of matches as long as you adapt to your own environment.
