I do that too. I also try to use real life as well. In example, my Trinity is main white with red highlights because she's a healer. But with a berserker, I'd figure red on white would be a decent choose considering blood all over.

After farming up an Argon Scope, I'd like to use it on some kind of weapon.
The problem is, after some basic googling, it doesn't seem that argon scope is particularly useful(?) on weapons? Especially with the effectiveness of 90% elemental mods.

Its primary competition was bladed rounds. Bladed beats it in raw DPS in nearly every case, so the only case where you would use argon is on slow-firing weapons like snipers where consistent crits are more important than the average damage. It could also work on weapons where you might use both bladed and argon.
But now, we have not only rivens but also primed cryo rounds. Both of those tend to be much better than argon. Crit weapons generally only have room for one mod between argon/bladed/cryo/riven, and argon is generally the worst of those 4.
