All of the Awakening villains were just low tier budget versions of previous series villains. Gangrel was the best for sure. At least he was funny, but he was pretty much budget Ashnard. Walmart was a budget Zephiel and Validerp was a budget Nergal or something, or maybe a budget version of that evil mage sect from FE4.

Gangrel was one of the only things I actually really liked in Awakening. Having a jokester villain was pretty unique for the series. I really wanted him to stay the main villain but of course they fucking cut him out 1/3rd through the game and replaced him with shittier villains.
