I don't get it. I use the 'Level appropriate' filter but doesn't seem to make any difference.
I still find people with over 9000 level to play and edgy 14 levelers trying to do hard mode..

Even something simple like 1 extra skill point every 2 levels of Infamy after the original 5 would be good enough incentive.

WolfHUD, while it does have a lot of things that could be called making the game easier, you can customize it completely so you get the way better looking HUD without the stuff like knowing how many enemies are on the map and drill timers etc.

VELOsync is also pretty good because it improves the desync you often see online by a lot.

Those are probably the most important ones that aren't just graphical changes. (Also make sure to get the Dev version of WolfHUD over on github instead of the one on the site, because the current standard version crashes the game if you trigger swan song)

Seriously, the game is terrible without mods. I never understood players who were like "ya vanilla 4 lyfe xdddd!!"

It's ugly, plays terribly, and quality of life is very low

In my early days month ago I encountered a mod that didn't let you use the medic bag with less than 3 downs, whenever you tried to use it with less than that it electrocuted you.

I guess what bothers me the most is the time you spend waiting in lobbies, getting kicked and most of all NO control of who enters the game after you started.

Quality of life mods are, obviously, quality of life things, such as no confirm dialogue , press f to interact instead of holding it, etc.

Lock your lobby if you don't want scrubs joining and messing up, or restrict who can join with NGBTO.

By the way, I want to confirm that every single mod he listed is good, because I've all of them. They make the game substantially better.

Most of it's features are part of the base game now so there wasn't any reason to keep it alive.

WolfHUD is a good alternative. It has most features from Goonmod built in, and the ones that aren't are mostly already implemented into the game. The only thing I can think of that's not in either WolfHUD or the base game is weapon customization.

Inspire still is and will always be meta because it makes dying an inconvenience instead of an actual penalty. It's by design overpowered (but it's way better now that it's guaranteed revive but 20 second cooldown instead of the original RNG based version)

There are way better weapons than the car-4 now, especially on One Down where a lot of decent-good weapons aren't good enough. One Down has a different meta than the rest of the game however due to how much hp and damage enemies have.
