under a microscope, BRD is really good because foes buffs your healer's dps which is a good chunk of a dungeon group's damage, not even counting if you have a caster in the group

meanwhile MCH kind of sucks because their biggest dps cooldown is shit for dungeons outside of bosses

Healing in FFXIV basically involves learning a bosses rotation and timing your heals based on this set rotation.
Coming from WoW you won't find healing to be reactive or fast paced.

relative to wow healers do much more damage and it's expected of healers to dps at high levels, healer is less of a triage and more of an ebb and flow burst system in time with big mechanics

Rain of Death procs definitely have to be the most fun aoe of any class for big pulls though. Outside of maybe Deathflare.
