but it also can't be enforced. if you ban crosshair overlays, you have to ban overlays as a whole, and that's silly. if you actually do ban them, prior will just draw a dot on their screens with a marker. how are you going to detect that?

people also benefit from good computers and monitors, potato configs, a quality mouse and keyboard and headphones, low sensitivity, practise and years of FPS experience, playing in a coordinated group with constant voice comms (against 95% randoms that occasionally shitpost in /y), and plenty of others i'm forgetting.

a crosshair overlay is included in the meme tracker, which is why almost everybody using the meme tracker is also using a crosshair. its only disadvantage is a very very small reduction in visibility, and it provides a slight advantage (you know where the center of your screen is when EMP'd, and you are more accurate at long range (in-game optics are misaligned), etc). sure, those are some non-negligible advantages, but they aren't even remotely close to being as powerful as the weakest of hacks.
proper config fuckery will give you a much bigger advantage than a crosshair overlay.

Yeah, they never stopped. I don't recommend Miller as a server. Outside of prime time it's 35% NC 38% TR with mostly Russian people and the VS that ghostcap another continent.
