i don't even bother circling my urby behind the enemy, i just hang back at 600 m and unload x2erll blasts after blasts into ct's.
my most recent kills have been

the new skill tree looked so good due to fucking up very little compared to how much fucked up shit it was gonna fix.
you can run this On every urby. troll mech. when you add in the armour quirks on them you end up with 50+ armour side (not including for instance the r60's stupidly high armour quirks)
and the structure from the big right arm and right T to take hits you can't dodge on.

XL in a Mauler typically means whatever you're facing will die before your side pops and people typically focus on your CT anyway because the Mauler is a symmetrical mech. Taking out half of it will just reduce its high amount of firepower to a considerable amount of firepower, so most people don't bother doing that.

No, 2012. We had everything by november 2012. Not counting the command console, all systems were operational after the Jesus patch in december 2012, which changed ECM from a placeholder chunk of shit to cloak of skill.
It took them like 10 months to finally reduce its power, which was when they officially 'launched' the game.
