You know how everyone bitches about the mysterious dancer nonsense in Fates, even though Corrin is really only in the dark for a chapter and is told about it in the next one?

Well let's take that plot point, give it to Alfonse (and co), except now it lasts for the entire third leg of the game and is actually integral to the overarching story instead of being contained to one single chapter.

So if I start a new game in Fates and choose to go to the split where I make a choice, does it give my units good levels, or do I start with them gimped?

Nino + Eirika + Azura + Sharena = +20 Atk
And +4 every other stat including speed.
And multiply that by two because Azura can dance her to go again.
And Eirika can Pivot afterwards to stand in front of Nino and protect her.

He takes a literal month or longer to be fully promoted, and his promotion means you're skipping Anna or Sharena's promotions which are better. And that's only of the free characters, imagine if you roll something like 4* Kagero, or Nowi or whatever.

You say it's a mobile game and then immediately defend him by saying the story isn't over yet, like it can still salvage him, even though you condemned it as a mobile game that obviously can't.
