My 4* Abel has been completely destroying reds so far. Brave lance + Swordbreaker means that even with like 20 Speed he gets 4 attacks on sword users. You get like 15-20 x4 damage on every maxed out Lyn/Lucina/Marth/Ryoma, insta-killing them.

Yes it does. He will hit sword users 4x and almost always kill them.

He does just fine against other red units too, though you should make sure to watch his HP/take out the swords first.
