When I played Knights in the nightmare, my units were getting weaker and were about to die from running out of stamina, a guide said that there's no way of increasing the stamina and I should treat the units like peons and not care about their individuality, merge them as necessary. Depends on you. It's pretty outdated with repetitive and boring gameplay, but fairly fun in terms of dialogue and characters.
The translation is decent for what it is.
