Not really. The amount of stuff that can go wrong with the intro is unbelieveable. Just download an alternate start mod and if you get issues later on troubleshoot 'em when they show up.

Yeah that's how I see it too. Moving around as a vampire should require knowing which clans are outright hostile, which will let you lair with them for tribute, the various feuds and alliances, ect.

make sure you know what you are doing first, don't rush, and save often. I tried so hard to make a follower and it worked for some people and didn't for others. Really all I have to say is "good luck"
