I think the chebby spark has the best interior of a cheap car. It's all plastic, but none of that soft touch, fake leather crap or painted plastics. All color and texture in the plastic itself. Instead of imitating, it uses plastics to their own stylistic strengths.

Storage notch above the glove compartment is useless. Unfortunately American manufacturers don't use soft panels like Japanese cars e.g. Subaru and Toyota, which make even basic interiors at least tolerable.

I'm not normally one to get upset about plastic, but I rented a rav4 that had that same steering wheel and there's this little bit of black plastic trim that goes down either side of the silver V that is so nasty it bothered me the entire time.

The rest of it was fine but that steering wheel is awful.

that's an E90 interior . And i personally think the E46 actually does have a great interior .

the steering wheel is very big and the transmission tunnel interferes with my right leg, but I think this will age very well along with most lexus and porsche interiors.
