noob here.

same setup, scenario and everything: if he tried to keep it clean and not get the rear out, would he have been quicker through this or a lot slower?

I don't think he tried to get the rear out, he took the fastest line and the rear wanted to keep going in its original direction. Fortunately his front had enough traction that it pulled the rear along and back in line.

the footage is cropped too early but I think he set up a skandi flick just b4 the crest
also note he counter steered twice

>same scenario and everything: if he tried to keep it clean
nope he either have to slow down or head str8 into the embankment on two wheels

also don't missjudge it
that drift was to set up the next corner

I drive an automatic fwd and I'm an enthusiast

This and Toronado

how do they manage to drift an fwd car? just using the handbrake? weight transfer? what am i missing here

hand brake and weight transfer

...

does anyone have the video of race between rwd cars and one prelude and all the rwd spin out and crash at the first turn while the prelude takes it and keeps going?

There are two FWD cars in my dream garage.

...

I'm interested

What track is that? Looks familiar

Looks like the burgerking

Confirmed. What other track is narrow, painted on and lined by camping sites?

slower overall. the corner entry was faster but the slide bled a lot of speed. unless your car has 2000hp to speed up again, its better to keep as much speed as possible... unless there's a slow technical section immediately ahead and you'd be slowing down anyways.

Do you even lift?

>FWD barges with huge engines

fucking disgusting

FWD barges are the comfiest barges

fun wheel drive is best

full attack or nothing.

Forced oversteer actually looks pathetic with FWD cars. Like the intent is to show "hey, it's possible with FWD too! Look!"

Just be yourself and perfect the high speed precise driving which is a great thing with modern FWD cars.

Drifting RWD is discovered by fucking up before you're tapping half the car's potential and vanishes as you reach the peak and start getting the fastest possible times

Drifting FWD is discovered by reaching the peak and then going over the edge, literally, RIP

The forced oversteer is to neutralize the understeer. A common technique in rally.

>No RSX/DC5 itt
WTF? Postem'

FWD definitely has a place in luxobarges
>far less cabin intrusion, no gearbox or driveshaft cutting up footwell
>performance isn't relevant
>fits transverse mounted engines with up to 8 cylinders, possibly more if longitudinally mounted

Same

qt

I almost bought one of those but the interior is so god awful I couldn't justify it. Especially with the rice tax
so I got toyota's answer to the FWD liftback

>longitudinal ff
Pls no

chaika?

it works well with small engines.

Is this a video game?

I can't even tell

you could also go mid engined front wheel drive.

The only FWD I want

What's wrong with the interior?
>factory buckets
>radio turned to face the driver
>comfy ass wheel
>red interior lights
>cup holder light
What's not to like?

The only downside I can think of is that the driving position is kind of weird and you can't comftrably rest your arms on anything but your legs unless your a manlet

i appreciate fwds like i appreciate the sewer rat sandnigger refugees infesting western society kek

I guess you could say I was a fwd believer back when I got my second car, a b13 SE-R. I loved that car and it was actually very neutral handling. After that I a few other fwd cars that were absolutely terrible and mostly soulless.

Eventuallyi landed in a WRX and never looked back. All AWD or rwd ever since. Then I drove a Fiesta ST.

Now I guess I'm a proud owner of a fwd again. It's a truly neutral car. I'm planning on getting a lsd, since I can't believe it wouldn't benefit from one.
