Just join the discord and lurk so you can see for yourself. Getting matches is super easy, though the level depends. There's a few beginner (for example like 3 guys are week one level right now) but there may not be a beginner on at any moment.
But yeah, just join so you can check for yourself.

The excitement already buffs your damage and your command grab.
In rev 2 they make the base version of the claw and the oki ball special worse and they will improve with excitement. Getting excitement will be easier too.
