That can happen sometimes if an enemy goes invincible around the time your cast is completed.

It can also happen in pvp, if you try to Blizzard III a PLD who uses Hallowed Ground in the middle of your cast.

more likely things that happened:
>you cast blizzaga on something invulnerable to damage, which wouldn't trigger umbral ice
>your cast was interrupted at the end (if you saw an animation, possibly a result of personal latency) and didn't register, resulting in the cast not actually executing

just go and fish at the highest level hole available to you. i've never seen anyone do a fishing levekit and if someone did you'd probably pay a premium for it.

pick up manuals from your FC or from blue scrips if you have those available to you and keep them on. once you hit 58 you can just farm mogpoms to 60 super easy.

It could be an oversight to not mention them, but we'll have to wait and see. I wouldn't mind a boost because my FC house's room has reached maximum eye-searing man-child-cave cringe but I feel like more is needed.

A FSH leve kit would just have the fish required for turn-ins. Honestly all you need to level FSH up to 50 is knowledge of the best places to fish for EXP returns.

Basically catching fish at or above your FSH level has greater exp gains than catching smaller fry, so you want to get to places that have a better chance of you catching the better exp fish. That's what that guide has for you.

HOWEVER, also consider getting yourself some survival manuals, you can get those by using your Grand Company seals, and you get some as a possible weekly reward from your Squadron if you send them out. Throw some food in and you will speed through fishing to get to the higher level stuff in no time.

Also consider using en.ff14angler.com/ to get to know what you're chasing, best times/weather. Very good resource once you're big fishing.
