depending on just how mucked up it is though is the difference
you'd probably be fine just with a razor blade to get rid of bulk, but the glue is most easily removed by using acetone or a very high concentration of rubbing alcohol. Cheapest acetone to get is labelled as nail polish remover, both 100% and 50% will do but be careful to not get either on any plastic or rubber seals as it will at the very least, visually damage them.
