Which Civic generation is the best?

Which Civic generation is the best?

Ek9 cutest civic

I personally love the EF

I'd like to own one at some point either as a DD or a track toy.

Honda civic 8

I really like this gen, fully loaded SI would be sweet.

Too bad they all rusted out 20 years ago.

EF

I had one. They are turds.
All they do is burn oil and snap bolts.

Maybe it's due to nostalgia, but I get boner for the 6th gen

sounds like anecdotal evidence user. Not our fault yours was a shitbox.

>Too bad they all rusted out 20 years ago.

Nein, most of them are rusty shitboxes but there are plenty of non rusty Ef's

op isnt even an EF

I was the second owner.
Car was VERY well taken care of with documentation.

still, anecdotal evidence.

...

Not really.
Its common for civics to burn oil.
My 95 and 96 both did.
And its common for hondas to snap bolts. Honda has always used poor quality metals.
Easy to google and read about. Dont be ignorant.

every 80s-early 2000s Honda I have ever been around burned oil at some point

...

Whichever one is the least fucked up on Craigslist

I really like my ep3. Ive had 2 ej's and a ek9 before this but its def my fave. Picked her up last week for 4500

3rd gen has the most aesthetic rear, desu. It also has the best CRX and an awd wagon. What more do you need? I remember sitting in the back of one as a kid, even then it was cramped.

Did that that gen of crx have torsion bar front suspension and beam axle rear? Dunno how that's attractive.

they are sub-900kg and make 140hp

suspension design isnt everything

>few simple mods

Do you own one?

>suspension design isn't everything
Yes it is

That's because Oil's comebacks were lame.

I like the EP3 and EF's. FD2 and EK are cool too.

So did the Civic though. Its even preferable for rallying.

not really, esp when its on a 30 year old civic.

You upgrade the suspension yourself you cuck

EG hatch with a couple of mods

>Spoon

muh dicc

> R8 is on the list
> 911 nowhere to be seen
> those weight categories
This list has to be made by an american

...

ikr

...

That's not a civic....

A 2nd gen fit

3rd gen master race
>tfw no d16a1

...

The the one that has and does these things
>has cool vibrations
>makes you want to dance
>when you are behind someone and wanting to clip their fender so they can spin out of your way

can't argue with that

EG

How does it feel having the shifter higher up in comparison to the traditional location? Is it just as satisfying to slam gears?

8th gen, though I have a soft spot for the 7th gen

How would you fix modern Civic's?

Either Gen II or Gen III.

Make them smaller.
A "compact" shouldn't be the size of a small yacht.

the thing is the Fit is what the Civic used to be and the Civic is what the Accord used to be

so just get a Fit

Basically make a Fit with a Range of K series engines and multi link suspensions.

This

Fuck

I have one of these. It sat in a barn until 2007 with 14k on it. Then it was driven daily during the summer until I bought it in fall 2016. Not a spec of rust anywhere on the car.

>no 3 door
>no SI with the 1.5l tarbo

Why doesn't Honda want my money...

did someone say 4th gen?

there's actually decent supercharger kits, might wanna have a look into those.

for the fit*

Last gen fit with good suspension bits and a k20 would be soo good.

A few years ago I considered buying an EF and that's how I found out that what people say about Honda Civic owners are not just a meme.

I bought a pickup instead.

4th gen with the 2nd gen CRX of course.
