No, saxons came from northern germany, the danes didn't speak german, they spoke norse. Related perhaps, as all germanic languages. But very different too. The structure, grammar, and syntax of scandinavian languages are different than german and old english. Old english was more related to german, dutch, frisian. The old english language is almost completely lost. It was dominated by norse and became basically norse and then norse-french.
